La muestra presenta un proyecto indefinidamente en proceso. Utilizando fotografía, materiales de archivo y texto, Báez nos adentra en su proceso de creación. Como en un diario, expone sus vínculos, amores y lutos y cómo estos se vuelven indispensables en su trabajo como artista y así nos invita a adentrarnos en su intimidad y reflexionar sobre el rol del diario como práctica artística.
The exhibition presents a project indefinitely in progress. Using photography, archival materials, and text, Báez takes us into their creative process. As in a diary, they expose their map of affection, lovers, and griefs, and how these relationships become essential in their work as an artist, and thus invites us to delve into their intimacy and reflect on the role of the diary as an artistic practice.
The first iteration of this exhibition, and Báez first solo show, was held at El Lobi, Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico (May 4-27, 2023).
